The Bideford branch of the Royal British Legion is just one of many branches throughout the U.K. that offer assistance and support to ex service and serving personnel and their families. Most people think it's about Poppy Appeal
once a year but this just isn't the case, the help offered can range from helping the homeless to get housed to helping ex-service families with everyday problems, such as employability, social support, and physical health to name but a few.
In recent times we have found our services are required more and more so we now have a web page which will give people direct access to our knowledge base (support.britishlegion.org.uk
) and also a direct line if you wish to contact one of our support staff 08088 028 080 all conversations and information is treated in the strictest confidence.
We are very proud and grateful for the support and co-operation we receive locally and with the local authority and various local like minded charities different forms of assistance may be rendered as and when required.
If you think you may be able to help us with our work call 07971 362 602 or just turn up at one of our meetings held the first Wednesday of every month 7pm at the Conservative Club Bridgeland St Bideford
